Ronda Pilipinas at Casa San Pablo

Feb

CASA SAN PABLO was chosen as a pit stop for the third stage of the first international edition of Ronda Pilipinas, a bike race that took local and foreign bike teams on a 14-stage,16-day punishing ordeal through 1,776 kilometers across the Philippines. They arrived at San Pablo City at the end of their second day from Tagaytay. They transformed Casa into a bikers' refuge with their cherished bikes leaning on trees as they washed and checked them in preparation for the next day's leg. All in high spirits, the teams took the time not only for much needed rest and chow but also to get to know each other.

The Philippine teams faced tough competition from seven international teams, including Global Cycling Team Holland, the Malaysian national team, which snatched a silver and a bronze in Myanmar, Japan’s Matrix Powertag, Chinese Taipei’s Team Gusto, Iran’s Ayandeh Continental Team, Thailand’s CNN Cycling Team and the Uzbekistan national team led by reigning Asian champion Muradian Halmuratov.

It was a privilege for Casa San Pablo to host these modern day warriors.
