Casa San Pablo's Native Cooking Tour Recognized as Best Tourism Practice

WE ARE VERY proud that our Casa San Pablo Native Cooking Tour was included among the Best Tourism Practices in the Philippines. It was showcased as an important year-round component of San Pablo City's Coco Festival, which won the top prize for Best Tourism Practices in the country, awarded by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines. Donna Eseo, San Pablo Tourism Officer, said "Casa San Pablo's Native Cooking Tour had a huge impact on the judges and is probably why we won the award." This is the fourth year in a row that San Pablo's Coco Festival won the award, propelling it to the ATOP's Hall of Fame.

To celebrate the victory, we hosted lunch at Casa San Pablo for the Tourism Staff of the City of San Pablo as well as for the award organizers. At the lunch were: Donna Eseo, Tourism Officer, and driving force of the festival; Lavinia Nunag, City Tourism Officer; Lax Mendoza, President of 7 Lakes Tourism Establishments; as well as Kenneth Benignos,  chair of the Committee on Awards for the 13th ATOP Convention; and Perry Coseteng, executive director of Diliman Prep School which is a strategic partner of ATOP. Also invited to the lunch were the publisher and author of a soon-to-be published book on Laguna, Ron Yu and Pepe Alas.

The coconut module of the native cooking tour allows tourists to have an inter-active tour of a coconut plantation and a hands-on cooking experience of dishes with coconut. We'd love to take you on the tour.
